Light and Blue - Marshall Applewhite - Heaven's Gate
Light and Blue is a small print vinyl record produced by Century Records custom recording in 1963. Recorded by the University Singers of the University of Alabama and recorded on the University of Alabama Campus on November 24, 1963 - this haunting album was notably directed and conducted by Marshall ‘Herff’ Applewhite.
Marshall ‘Herff’ Applewhite would later go on to meet Bonnie Lou Nettles and together found a new religious movement, or cult, in 1974.
Applewhite would notably continue leading the group after the death of Nettles in 1985 - taking them to their eventual end in 1997 under their final operating name ‘Heaven’s Gate.’
This album is in great condition with minimal play and scratching. Please note however there is some minor water damage on the sleeve.
